Shraddha Kapoor Hot Stills | Stars Trend

Shraddha Kapoor replaces Priyanka Chopra, joins Shahid Kapoor in Milan Talkies

Big things are happening to the Aashiqui 2 girl Shraddha Kapoor’s career. Suddenly she is everywhere. Now in a position to pick and choose, Shraddha has just given her nod to Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies, thereby replacing Priyanka Chopra.
PC, who was until recently, very excited about working with Tigmanshu has suddenly cooled down and became evasive about the project. When asked about it, Priyanka said, “They (the Milan Talkies team) haven’t got back to me.”
Says a source close to the project, “After Bullett Raja, where he has cast Saif and Sonakshi together for the first time, Tigmanshu and his producer Ekta Kapoor were keen to cast another untried pair in Milan Talkies.
Imran and Priyanka made a lot of box-office sense together. But when Imran opted out and was replaced by Shahid Kapoor, Tigmanshu had no choice but to replace Priyanka since Shahid and Priyanka together, after Teri Meri Kahaani, spelt doom.”
Shraddha, on the other hand, is considered the new rising female actor after Aashiqui 2. Both the male and female protagonists in Milan Talkies have equally powerful parts. And more importantly it is a fresh pair!

The 38-year-old actor was speaking at Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle on the sidelines of a programme organised by the city police to create awareness among the Ganesh mandals about the safety and security during the ten-day Ganesh festival starting from Monday.

Urging women to become "self-reliant", Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty on Saturday recommended them to carry a knife to protect themselves from molesters.
"Some people and molesters have a sick mentality... Police are doing their best to protect us, but how much they would do? Women should be self-reliant and carry a knife when they are in crowd," the actress told reporters here when her opinion was sought against the backdrop of recent assaults on women and gang-rapes in the metropolis.
The 38-year-old actor was speaking at Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle on the sidelines of a programme organised by the city police to create awareness among the Ganesh mandals about the safety and security during the ten-day Ganesh festival starting from Monday.
"We are reading in newspapers about such incidents (assaults on women). I am just fed up and sometimes I feel what kind of society we are living in," she said.
The actor thanked the policemen for their "good work".
"The job of policemen is extremely difficult and they are doing it in an extraordinary way. Entire load should not be put on the shoulders of policemen (during the Ganesh festival)...you become a responsible citizen and if you find anything unclaimed at any pandal, kindly inform the police," the actor appealed.

Shah Rukh Khan, Raj Thackeray and Arvind Kejriwal emerge as celebrity choices for TV hosts

Having started his journey as a stand-up comedian on reality shows, Kapil Sharma turned producer withComedy Nights. The show, which he hosts, clicked big-time not only with the viewers but also with celebrities. Each week you see top movie stars coming on the show to promote their films.
Shah Rukh Khan appeared with him thrice during the promotional rounds ofChennai Express! Fellow comedian Krushna attempted a show but it didn’t work.
Shekhar Suman was probably the first TV star to have his own show in the form of Movers & Shakers followed bySimply Shehkar, Tedhi Baat Shekhar Ke Saath etc. He revived his Movers & Shakers over a year ago but it did not fare well and has since been talking of making a comeback on TV with another comedy show. Over the years, several small screen and film personalities like Smriti Irani, Simi Garewal, Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar and Farah Khan among others have had their own talk/chat shows.
While some were celebrity chat shows others were issue-related.
But the trend died down and for a long time chat shows have been missing from the small-screen. One-and-a-half year ago Aamir Khan made his TV debut with a chat show Satyamev Jayate but he is yet to come up with the second season.
With Kapil’s Comedy Nights rocking the small-screen, we ask television personalities who would they like to see starring in their own shows.
Renuka Shahane actress/directorShah Rukh KhanI genuinely feel Shah Rukh Khan should have a show. He is spontaneous, has a great rapport with people and is never short of words. He is not only comfortable with what he is, but can also laugh at himself. Not just comedy he can host any kind of contemporary show.
If he does a show about women, he will be charming. I am sure he can hold forth on a political show too. He is well-read, intelligent and can speak well in English as well as Hindi. He will make any show interesting and engaging, be it comedy or contemplative.

Rakhi Sawant  reality TV star Shah Rukh KhanI should have a show only with politicians and no actors! Seriously, I would love to see a Shah Rukh Khan show. He is frank, bold and entertaining. He should have a chat-cum-comedy show.

Mona Singh actress Shah Rukh KhanIt will be good to have a Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan show.
Salman is witty and has a good sense of humour while SRK is aware and intelligent.
Archana Puran Singh actress/host Arvind Kejriwal I am not interested in having any more entertainment shows unless they have something incredibly new to offer. What I would like instead are social activists like Arvind Kejriwal having a contemporary, current affairs kind of a show. He is the voice of India, the aam aadmi’s voice. Even Kumar Vishwas is an amazing speaker and can give an interesting perspective.
Mayank Gandhi can be refreshing with a point of view that hasn’t been heard on TV.
Kavita Kaushik  actressRaj ThackerayI would like to see Raj Thackeray having his own show. He is an interesting man, who I am sure has several unknown facets to his personality. He could be fun, talking about his hobbies, travel, etc.
Saakshi Tanwar  Actor Ranvir Shorey and Vinay PathakThe wit, fun and liveliness they bring on screen is amazing. The duo has proved that with their shows in the past and it will not be wrong to say that they are one of the earliest stand-up artistes to happen on Indian TV way back in the late ’90s. To see them again will be great. I will watch it for their superb camaraderie.
Aman Verma - actor JaAved Jaffrey He is extremely talented and can hold any kind of show – comic or serious. I think he had a show some years ago where he would play different characters. He should definitely have a show, he is a great performer.

Sanjiv Sharma - producer (Comedy Circus) JaAved JafferyI come from the old school of thought and for me it has to be Javed Jafferi. He had a show earlier but for some reason he shied away after that. He is extremely talented and has a wide range – he deserves to have a show of his own.
Rajan Shahi – producer (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) Ekta KapoorOne person who deserves to have a show and I would love to see on TV is Ekta Kapoor. I would definitely like to know her thoughts and am interested in what she has to say. At a young age she got the perfect mix of business sense and creativity. She has reinvented herself with changing times. She has a pulse on the entire nation, connecting with a cross section of audiences.
On TV, she had brought a certain phase which no maker could.
Her films are of varied kind bold, controversial and some big-budgeted. Blunt and honest, she never talks about past glory.
Her journey is inspiring. It will be nice if she connects with the common people on her show, as she represents hope and aspiration of the youth.

JD Majethia –  actor-producer (Khichdi) Sakshi Tanwar She deserves to have a show that deals with social issues. Sakshi has a great connect with  housewives and has the loyalty of women fans. Her show, I think, can get as many viewers as a film star.

Eijaz Khan - actor Suresh MenonOn Sunday morning there’s a show Comedy One by Suresh Menon and Jose on one of the radio channels. They have my kind of humour, which is completely non-sense! They sit there and play various characters, and their conversation has me rolling with laughter. They definitely deserve a TV show.
Parmeet Sethi – actor/director KajolBesides Archana (Puran Singh) who should have a show on social issues, I would love to see a Kajol show. She is not only successful in her profession but is also a great mother. She is charming, and represents the new Indian woman. Kajol has a certain image and credibility, which works for a show.
Hiten Tejwani - actor It has to be Amitabh Bachchan. I know he is hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati but it’s not about him. I would like to see a show where he is talking and interacting with the common people. He is a legend, but I want to know more about him and learn from him.
He should have a talk show where the audience comprise the common man. He has so many fans who I am sure would want to know him personally. Even he has done sweet things for his fans like recording a message for a lady who turned 100 years  recently. I would definitely be interested in knowing his life story, directly from him.
